RE: Equalize Histogram setting in White Balance FX
I've been considering buying the Graide Bundle (Color Match and Color Curves) for a long time. @3POINT What is your opinion on these two plug-ins compared to what's available in Vegas? Jøran Toresen

RE: Equalize Histogram setting in White Balance FX
@3POINT Thanks for the additional information, and the example illustrates the problem with SeMW Autolevel. By the way, who is this person that developed Graide Color Match and Graide Color Curves? Jøran Toresen

Reading about this format, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XvYCC https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/x-v-color-and-the-future--78777/ I'm not sure any of this is possible to edit in VEGAS (color adjusments to keep luminance to 16-235

RE: How does the Vegas CG define shadows / mids/ highs?
Yes, there are two styles for color wheels, selectable as tabs in the CGP. "Color Wheels" uses a fixed standard crossover point and slope between lift, gamma, & gain. The "RL Color Wheels" lets you adjust crossover points between shadows, mids,

RE: Correct way of DJI D-log M editing?
You still might have to do some color correcting depending on the look you want. You can render it out to whatever you want no matter the project settings. Rec 709 also does 10bit. Here is a sample of the footage I shot and only used the Color

RE: Creating a Script to make 3D Extrusion in a Text
It appears you are correct as there is no "file path" for a media generator. I tested a couple of options here but the sub-clip was not created. There was no error - but there was no sub-clip either. @jetdv Today, I finally found a trick. For media

RE: iPhone videos' colours change after importing into Vegas pro 22
You can enable VEGAS Pro HDR or ACES color space and assign IDT Color Space Profile REC2020/REC2100 to properly conform to REC709 Tho, you still need to manually tweak the exposure using the Color Curve and bring back some saturation. Only Resolve

RE: Color grading in Vegas
Roger, for the color we do not know anything. How were the colors of the bricks at the location? Was the white balance correct? ACES will not work really here. All what you can do is a best guess.

The color grading panel LUT functionality continues to work if you experience issues and need a workaround.

RE: Export without losing quality
If you're going to be doing coloring, etc. as a next step Apple ProRes is a good choice. Double check the editor can work with those files and doesn't have another preferred format. Thanks for your reply. I didn't film in log, but there will be some

I think the VEGAS color grading panel (alt + g) and this one are not affected.

RE: HEIC problems - Vegas Pro 22 (194) ???
If we stipulate that the HEIC format might be more efficient with disk usage and possibly other factors not related to real-time video preview, the design doesn't appear to optimized for easy decoding and reassembling of (in the case of my iPad)

Best Workflow for Color Correction in VEGAS Pro?
Hi everyone, I’ve been using VEGAS Pro for a while now, but I’m still trying to fine-tune my approach to color correction and grading. I know there are multiple ways to achieve good results, but I’d love to hear how experienced users approach this

RE: Easier way to Chroma Key a Green screen?
I find that Vegas Color Corrector (Secondary) with alpha@0 works rather well when the knock-out color is uneven, as most green-screens will be unless the lighting is perfect. It allows dragging the dropper across the desired knock-out area to get a

RE: Correct way of DJI D-log M editing?
DJI does have a LUT for it to convert to Rec 709 HERE. With my Mini 3 Pro D-Cine, I've used the Color Panel to grade. Even using only the Color Curves, I've gotten some very good results.

RE: Color grading in Vegas
Do you care about file size? If not ProRes is a great choice. Does your source material require high color precision? If so 10 bit and 422 may help. Otherwise for SDR video 8 bit 420 h264 is easy to edit with ready to deliver color.

RE: weird straight artifacts on video when trying to color grade?
Do you have the same issue with the latest build of VP 22 (239 came out last week)? I see you are using the Intel 520 GPU. The 530 seems to be the minimum recommended:https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/product-comparison/#c286447 If you turn

RE: Broadcast Safe - V22 vs V17
I tested here with 8-bit legacy projects in 21 and 22 and the behavior seems the same. Adding a broadcast color set to extremely conservative after other edits (in this case color curves) tames superwhites back to 235. I tried a similar MXF render

RE: Correct way of DJI D-log M editing?
From a very good years old HitFilm video on YT about color grading and LUTs, it was explained that there are two types of LUTs: 1 - technical LUTs that transform the unique propriety color profile of a specific camera to a 'watchable' image; and 2 -
