RE: motion tracking issues
@Hitest Hi, I'm not aware of an AI tracking tool in Vegas?, There's the regular built in Motion Tracking & the newly added plugin Mocha Vegas. (I guess there's a certain amount of AI involved in any tracker but not as we think of AI

How to dynamically change text in nested project?
Hello, I created nested timeline which contains 3 tracks (background, png border and text). Border and text have few 3d track motion keyframes. In parent timeline I create few copies of nested event. Now my target is create unique content of the

Need Help With Vegas AI Tracking, Not Sure If I'm Doing It Wrong.
Vegas Pro 21, Humble Bundle one. Basically, it makes keyframes after I click Motion Tracking Forward, then it deletes those keyframes and just creates one at the very end. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

RE: Pan/Crop a 360 Still Photo (8000x4000), outputting 1080P resolution
@RedRob-CandlelightProdctns I you just want to crop a 1080p portion from your UHD frame, I recommend using Track Motion, and not Event Pan/Crop. Far more intuitive, and it's nondestructive.

RE: can certain default settings be changed?
@Gid These are the options for envelopes: So maybe try "None"? For effects, pan/crop, and Track Motion, just change it to .Hold

RE: Upgraded version but mask presets and settings did not transfer.
@Curtis This is how I transfer all my pan/crop masks. See my comment at the bottom of this thread.

RE: Short Youtube Format (1080X1920) : problem moving an image
Try using track motion or the picture in picture Fx to move the images where you like. and this solution is also very cool because I can really adapt the size of my image and my object even more finely! thank you everyone!

RE: Track Motion Problem
I'm sorry, but I don't understand this... @melory-f @Gid This is a very simple math problem. Just think about their actual width and height, as well as the target width and height. If you directly import a 16:9 footage into a 9:16 project, it will

RE: Some curiosity full questions about VEGAS's Future?
It is unfortunate that Vegas Effects couldn't have continued as a plugin even if no further development was forthcoming from Artlist. I stll use the integration feature with Vegas and the full version of Hitfilm Pro. I still find the layers based

RE: Viewing keyframes in the timeline
@Richard-Vanner Track Motion exposes keyframes for editing along the timeline. I have not found a setting that exposes Pan/Crop or any fX keyframes for editing along the timeline.

How to import 4K video?
My Vegas is 20 Pro. I'd like to import a 4K video, but when I try to drag and drop the 4K video file, the video track is not generated. Only the audio track, which is recorded with the video, is created. The video length I recorded is only 1 minute,

RE: How to color grade teal orange by masking subject?
@SyedDanish-Ali A direct way to do it with only Vegas fx is to create the mask with Color Corrector (Secondary). Limit the hue range you want cgp to operate on which will exclude the rest. Follow it with cgp in the fx chain. Duplicate the track or

RE: Motion Tracking broken in Vegas 22
You still see the issue in the new build 239 ? Unfortunately I do, whenever I try to motion track anything the tracking gets generated, but then it becomes fragmented the moment I try to apply it to anything or I simply move to another event and

I would like a 'Sky replacement'"option. Several other NLE have it. But maybe the team could this function give something extra. For example a motion tracking between new sky and the (foreground) video. Many, many shots move a bit. They not

RE: Pan/Crop a 360 Still Photo (8000x4000), outputting 1080P resolution
While I appreciate all tips, I think this one misses the mark on what my question and thread is about, which is handling 360 content in a standard Vegas project which is outputting 1080p. Thanks for that, @RedRob-CandlelightProdctns. I skipped over

RE: Viewing keyframes in the timeline
@Richard-Vanner What is not showing? The keyframes? The track motion button? I think it is worth upgrading to VEGAS Pro 22 (not "Sony Vegas") from 18, there's a sale right now. It seems to work better and more stable, at least that's my experience,

RE: motion tracking issues
So the consensus is that vegas 22 doesnt use AI for its motion tracking. I don't remember where I heard it did, I think it was some of the marketing hype that referred to the motion tracking as AI, or it may have been stated on one of the numerous

RE: can certain default settings be changed?
You can go through all keyframes after the fact and change them to whatever type you want them to be using a script. I'll work up a tutorial that shows changing: Envelopes (velocity, volume, mute, etc... These are "smooth" by default but the script

Yes that 4070-s is good value but only has 12gb, I like the $450 price tag. You think I can get by smoothly with that card, editing 4k footage, color grading, titles, motion tracking, etc? I'll have an i9 14900k and 96Gb RAM. The Ti looks to only

RE: Track Motion Problem
@melory-f Probably, the most direct way to achieve your goal is to recognize that you are trying to vertically stack parts of two 1920x1080 images into a 1080x1920 frame. The symmetrical dimensions available for each vertical half is 1080x960

RE: Short Youtube Format (1080X1920) : problem moving an image
Dave, the principle of Event Pan/Crop is that you are moving the picture frame, and not the image; so you have to adjust the size handles carefully. This can take a long time to get used to. In the meantime, the suggestion to use Track Motion

RE: nearest-neighbor video interpolation?
@alice Your question should have nothing to do with scaling interpolation. You should use Event Pan/Crop instead of Track Motion to scale it. You need to remember one point: All operations after Pan/Crop are quantized to the project resolution.Your
