RE: Some Day/Year Will Vegas Go HDR10?!
Correction: After Refining of my (HDR10) project the HDR10-ProRes format can be recognized automatically and displayed fine, so the source HLG-files from my Lumix GH6 and DJI Mini4Pro as well. No luck with goPro Hero5 Pro tune flat color.

RE: With 20 years of Vegas experience, my perspective on Vegas Pro 23.
VEGAS does support MKV files, such as those produced by OBS. There are many combinations though for what you put in it- what is in your MKV?Check out GL Transitions- these are new and customizable.Doesn't GoPro issue their own LUTs you can load? I

RE: GoPro Hero 5 Black video probem
@Reyfox You have proven once again that uploading to Youtube is like staying in Hotel California; "You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave." I chose to crop into the 2704x1520 GoPro media and deliver at 2560x1440 to avoid

RE: GoPro Hero 5 Black video probem
The original video is poor as if it was encoded with a low bitrate. It's not just the road that is bad. Look at the grass areas. But media info shows the original bitrate as 45 Mb/s which is more than adequate for good quality 1080. Likewise the

RE: GoPro Hero 5 Black video probem
@Ruby888 I find your post a small bit confusing, maybe because i'm not familiar with gopro footage. The 1st video info is for mp41 which is considered nowadays to be near obsolete codec. The 2nd. one, avc, looks ok. Can you post mediainfo output of

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 278 General Discussion
@BogdanRSC @RogerS @Reyfox My two cents here: If you look in my signature, notice the "All AMD" computers (CPU & GPU). Three Canon cameras, all 4:2:2 10-bit CLog3 IPB (not IPB light), and the bitrate is around 170 Mbps, which I always use, along

    VP22 vs VP23 rendering speed, VP23 ½ slower than VP22...?
I just downloaded the Trial & tested a very recent project created in VP22. (didn't want to hijack someone elses post) Exactly the same project, a mix of Samsung S23 phone clips & GoPro11 clips, all UHD 29.97fps. MediaInfo says variable for

RE: Timeline Resets After 24 Hours in Vegas Pro 22
I've never had a timeline anywhere nearing 24 hours or longer, the longest most recently being a bit under 9 hours which was a 4K project with video for the entire project being from a video camera, GoPro camera and phone video just mass grouped in

RE: File I/O -> Experimental HEVC decoding: Has severe problem with a clip
Experimental HEVC decoding was useful for me with GoPro 11 HEVC video in Vegas Pro 21 because it reduced the amount of stuttering on the timeline (not completely though). From various posts on the forum, the Vegas team have been developing VP's

RE: RX 9070 Crashes whilst rendering in Vegas Pro 22 (build 250)
@VEGAS-Daniel - Not really. At first I am setting up each of my projects as follows before doing anything more advanced such as color grading: Add clips to timeline Clips include a combination of Sony and GoPro. Both are H.264 4K at 25fps Select

RE: GoPro Hero 5 Black video probem
You do not have to share any people. Record some video and then provide it. This would be probably the fastest way to come to some sort of conclusion with your issue. You have a video with the camera used as a dashcam. Do it again. It can be

RE: Suggestions for VEGAS Pro 23 - Addressing Performance and Stability.
I can get by for the most part, compositing in Vegas alone. But I do see a need for "more". But I am wondering if there has been any real advancements in Hitfilm to justify using it, and it is subscription based. But if they get all the core

RE: Using Davinci Resolve for video for BD, avoiding recompression?
I've checked the reference frame number in MAGIX AVC/AAC renders that I've used for years in Vegas Pro and the reference frame number is always 4 - but that's for HD 25 fps projects, not 24 (23.976) fps projects. One of the failures of Resolve is

    RE: levels dilemma
Sorry to everyone for jumping in and slightly hijacking this thread. 😬 I'm using Vegas 20 (22 crashing) and working with GoPro Source that is Full Levels. Vegas sees it as Full, as does Media Info. But my render output using the Internet UHD 2160p

RE: Big problems with 9070 XT
I have a RX 9070. Using it for GPU acceleration for older video sources (.avi of 1080P or less) works great. However, with 4K MP4's from my Sony and GoPro I find that occasional clips in my timeline will be grossly pixelated in the rendered MP4. I

RE: Are you EU people shooting in 30P if it's a purely youtube project?

RE: Are you EU people shooting in 30P if it's a purely youtube project?
@3POINT  ... Optical flow rendering in Vegas is a pita, takes ages...try (and compare) optical flow in DR. Totally agreed that rendering in DR with Optical Flow is so much faster than in VP - and DR has bulk rendering which is really great. When

@Reyfox Thanks, yep me too. I've been down the alternate editor route before & came back to VP, in fact the other day I opened DaVinci again for the first time after a yr or two & within ½hr I'd decided I'll stick with VP22. My latest

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 - Jerky and Laggy Audio Dragging on Timeline
Does it matter what kind of audio it is? PCM WAV? MP3? AAC from a video? It's not just that it's snapping to frames is it? After further testing, I've found that the issue is specific to the media type. The jerky and laggy behavior happens with audio
