RE: Vegas 23 Build 356 Critical Issues
@3POINT ok. What about the Pro Res render issues? Have tried many settings, but taking out Pro Res 422 hq or normal, the colors change and sometimes overexposed. What could be the reason?

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 – Bug & Issues Thread
When importing graphics with ProRes 4444 alpha, incorrect colors are displayed. On the left is the original color, which appears correctly in Vegas Pro 22. On the right, in Vegas Pro 23, it appears overexposed or shows only white with no color

RE: Vegas Pro 23, how to rendez with transparent background?
@DiegoDimanche I know the render window has changed in VP23, so you'll have to work it out. In VP22 ProRes XQ/ProRes 444 have an alpha channel that will give you a transparent background. Thanks. I've encountered an issue though, I managed to

RE: What format does Vegas send data to the encoder?
For some reason I thought Voukoder on Vegas was limited to 10bit maybe related to the smaller pipeline to maintain quality but that can't be true for 3388 colors on a darkened grayscale image, it likely would have 3899 unique colors if processed

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
I don't see any improvement. I only work on large projects, 30-60 minutes long. As long as the project lasts 6-8 minutes, everything works fine, but once it gets longer than 10 minutes, it's a disaster. Colorizing the project is a pain. In version

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
In version 23, as shown in the picture, there is a color banding issue. This happens when applying curves in color grading. The problem still persists even in version 307. It does not occur in version 22.

Reverse event background color in VP 23?
Can't seem to find this discussed. Is the option somewhere else, or does it not exist anymore?

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
I've reported the problem of lag and overall slowdowns in large projects many times. Moving tracks on the timeline can be very delayed. CGP starts to freeze and lag significantly. One forum member suggested that this could be due to the processor,

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
I’m using Vegas 20, and when my 30-minute videos are finished (around 200 cuts, transitions, text, color correction, active tracking), it crashes every 10 minutes. Vegas 22 was better in that regard. Unfortunately, I can’t find any information on

RE: Approximating Monochrome Footage to Color Ones..?

RE: Wait for vegas 24 of update for obsolete (??) vegas 23
Vegas Pro 23 is not obsolete at all. Well there's at least one major issue with rendering videos with ProRes 444, the background is transparent but the colors are messed up... ><

RE: Magix video for color grading
They are just adjusting luminance using curves and then adding saturation globally. You can do much more than this in the color grading panel!

    RE: COLOR GRADING automation/keyframe Hell
The way I do color grading is by using Vegas CGP instead of the FX chain stacked up with individual FX. To automate CGP, I apply it as an event-FX to cross-faded adjustment events on an adjustment track instead of key-frames.

RE: Magix video for color grading
YouTube Shorts have a maximum length of 3 minutes so there's only so much that can be covered in 3 minutes - effectively Shorts are snapshots. If you want a more in-depth YT video about color grading in Vegas Pro 23, go to VEGAS Creative Software's

@digilyd Out of the shrink rap is 8-bit full, so not 32-bit full with ACES.The only other difference is VEGAS can now for the first time correctly read color spaces other than the standard Rec709 and Rec2020 ones. If that's causing unexpected issues

RE: Reverse event background color in VP 23?
I checked options under track colors. Not there, either. The yellow outline was in 22, so that's not a "replacement" feature. I just really like my audio on white.

I agree with your points about the next patch and also that ProRes has issues in both 302 and 356.For chroma key have you tried color corrector secondary? I found it more configurable than the chroma keyer.

RE: Concerned about buying Vegas 23
@Dexcon Thanks for the sample. I put it on a DR20 5312x2988p25 Timeline and it plays butter smooth even with applied stabilization (DR needed about 5 sec to stabilize the clip). Also applying a cut/crossfade and a color correction didn't hamper the

RE: how to colorized a b/w video
Vegas Pro 23 has a native video FX named AI Colorization which can colorise B&W stills and video. This FX has been included in Vegas Pro since Vegas Pro 19.
