RE: Properly Applying LUT in VEGAS Pro
This scene is nearing the limits of what your camera is capable of in terms of dynamic range and the shadows are getting noisy. Here's an example using the input lut vlog l to REC 709 and then the y slider (luminance) for lift and gamma. Remember to

RE: Broadcast Safe - V22 vs V17
I've put a very short clip on my FTP site if anyone cares to fuss with it. It was rendered with the Broadcast Colors checked but as you can see there are a few faint areas still showing above the 100 mark.https://www.bansemer.com/pickup/

RE: Equalize Histogram setting in White Balance FX
You can copy the script text into Notepad and save it as autolevel.txt into the script folder of your Vegas program folder. Then change the extension of the autolevel.txt in autolevel.cs, after rescanning script folder or after restarting Vegas the

RE: Broadcast Safe - V22 vs V17
The reason I'm not fond of the Broadcast Colors fX (at least the presets) is the loss of detail in the highs and lows while a simple Color Curve can achieve the desired output levels while maintaining the detail. I'd stop struggling with Legacy 8

Extreme color banding in VP21 with new camera
The situation is I purchased a Canon C80 and all of the footage is presenting VERY heavy color banding in areas like clean walls and the sky. I'm coming from the Canon R5. I'm familiar with this, I know that working with and rendering an 8bit

RE: About pricing... special 'til march 4th ? what ?
No problem! The difference is, with Resolve, you are on the Color Page, so it will work without anything further to do. With Vegas, as you know, there are no different "pages". Everything can be there right in front of you without clicking on

RE: [Closed] ACES/32-full & sLOG3
I wonder if that's the wrong way to look at it- that in ACES you're in the ACES color space, not Rec709.https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/aces-and-acescc-intro-and-tutorial-for-vegas-pro--100416/

Loss of video (color bars & text) in timeline & renders
Hi, I'm a longtime VEGAS user with a new issue. Currently running Vegas Pro 20 (build 411) on a Dell XPS 8490 with 32GB RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 3060 Ti graphics card, supporting two 24" monitors (one for timeline, one for preview). I've been

RE: levels dilemma
Thanks! As I work in 32bit video levels, gamma is greyed out and set to 2.2 by default.Yes studio RGB is unchecked.I ended up using the color curves plugin to limit the black levels to slightly above zero, and that finally worked.

RE: render freezes and got black screens
Interesting in deed. I have the Mini 3 Pro and and a G9 that I shoot in 4K 10 bit 4:2:2 in addition to 8 bit. The files can be MOV or MP4. I will use plugins, color correct/grade and always never an issue rendering the finished videos.

RE: Survey: What min/max levels does your cam shoot?
I think I'm misremembering how VEGAS works and it's just that the studio RGB setting in scopes doesn't do anything with the histogram.Anyway, to do this test property use 8-bit video levels and what you see in the histogram is the answer. It doesn't

RE: adding text to video timeline
@Gid Thanks, text works now. & that's weird, I never touch that. I do apply FX to every clip individually. I just opened and says Color Grading checked, but does nothing when I uncheck. Very weird. Maybe no attributes or whatever tied to it.

RE: V22 239 cannot render project, crashes every time
Are you using both ACES and a LUT filter? It's really one or the other. (at least for transforms, I suppose you could add a look one at the end) That the crash says open color io suggests a problem with ACES transforms

RE: adding text to video timeline
@Gid Thanks, just tinkered with it a bit. I'm sure will come in handy in the future knowing I can apply effect to whole project but mostly do it individually with my other projects but will help with current one as all vids are from Samsuny Galaxy

RE: Broadcast Safe - V22 vs V17
There's no screenshot. Check the scope settings and if they have Studio RGB levels checked or not. Broadcast doesn't touch the levels does it? I thought it was just for color saturation. You need to convert everything to studio/video levels with

RE: iPhone videos' colours change after importing into Vegas pro 22
Johnny, you wouldn't turn on HDR mode (HLG or HDR10) if you don't have an HDR monitor as you can't accurately see what you're doing.Alex suggested just a generic REC2020 color profile as there isn't a phone specific one.

RE: V22 239 cannot render project, crashes every time
I don't use ACES, although I found it to be the most color accurate transform.. I use the Vegas LUT filter in the track FX with a Phantom LUT. ACES is greyed out. I never use it as I work with LUTS to transform my LOG footage.

RE: Broadcast Safe - V22 vs V17
I haven't tried it in years so appreciate that info. It seems the issue is the color correction or other Fx pushing the levels of the already corrected media levels above 235? Did you check the gear above the scopes to make sure they are both set

RE: V-Log Footage
There are a few different workflows. You could try ACES by switching the project to 32-bit full with view transform set to sRGB. Then set the color space (right click on the media and go to properties) to Vlog/vgamut. Alternatively you can use a
