  hey all, just returned to vegas for the first time since... I dont remember which Sony version. for a few years I begrudgingly eked out a few projects using the other current NLE options that aren't subscriptions (which means i used Resolve lol).

  It depends, personally, I am in a European country and I try to stick to 25P. As 3POINT said, most modern viewing devices such as television and monitors can handle 25P, 30P and 50P, 60P. That said however, I find it a pain I have to mix sometimes

  The MP4 media being recorded by the S25 is likely to be in the HEVC (H.265) format while the S22 MP4 media was likely in the AVC (H.264) format. My Movie Studio 13 Platinum won't play HEVC MP4 video so that could well be the same with MSP14. Check
