RE: [Solved] Video preview freeze when I play video from go pro 12 (4k 60fps)
@Mateusz-Przybylski 4K 60fps GoPro may never edit smoothly in Vegas, no matter what machine you have. It simply clogs up the works with its highly compressed and complex structure, which takes up dozens of Megabytes of your System Memory for storing

RE: File I/O -> Experimental HEVC decoding: Has severe problem with a clip
@John-Callahan I noticed a very big improvement with GoPro HEVC after VP21 build (300) - Experimental unticked/off, I too now don't have it turned on, so If you're getting better performance with it off leave it off. I believe the 'experimental' was

RE: Building Proxy in Vegas 22
@mhammann57 Hi. Like @Gid, I too have one (two) all AMD systems (see signature), and use GoPro's from version 5 Black through 13 Black (except for the Hero 8 due to non-removable lens). When I had the Hero 3 Black Plus, the old GoPro Studio worked

RE: Building Proxy in Vegas 22
@mhammann57 Good, glad you sorted it out, I doubt your card can't handle the 4k files, GoPro's only have that card as memory so if it couldn't handle 4k it wouldn't record correctly, but as you've found the files are ok when transferred using the

RE: Building Proxy in Vegas 22
Chief24 - Thank you. I did try converting the video to ProRes LT using Shutter Encoder however, I still had the same stuttering/pixelation when playing the video. I am wondering why others with a similar Intel platform seem to be having more success

RE: Building Proxy in Vegas 22
@mhammann57 Hi, I can't spk for everyone of course but generally GoPro HEVC files work ok in VP22, as I wrote there were a lot of posts about GoPro files in previous versions of VP but since VP21 (300) those posts have pretty much stopped. & I

Similar GoPro footage plays back smoothly on my desktop (see signature) without a proxy.Mark's hardware is similar though I don't see what the NVIDIA GPU is looking at the signature. Video ID : 1 Format

RE: What settings to utilize nVidia 4090?
@RogerS Usually I edit clips from GoPro which is set to 60fps and from nVidia Experience (now nVidia App) also set to 60fps. Yester it was just random clip of my desktop captured by nVidia app (4k, 60fps). If this looks like normal behavior then I

RE: Vegas Pro Rendering Issues
Fully half of your files are Variable Frame Rate. That will never work. All of your files are GoPro, or worse, GoPro HEVC Mixing frame rates is a science, not one I think you are ready for yet. Your first step should be to convert all of your

RE: 8k hevc decoding problem (nvidia)
@relaxvideoDoes Vegas play this file with GPU decoder? https://www.mediafire.com/file/ia365n7556capk7/P1025412.MOV/file Above 4k below 8K, you may already have some gopro 5.*K HEVC footage.

RE: Who (still) uses VegasPro to edit camera footage?
I use all sorts of consumer formats from about 1980 on. Currently my usual cameras are A7-IV and AX700 and iPhone 13 up to 4K. I also use Gopro, DJI drones and other phones. Sometimes captures from MiniDV, Hi8, betamax and VHS. Sometimes 60 and 50Hz

@Former user I am not concerned with playback speed on the timeline. I am concerned with editing/trimming on the timeline. If I want to playback my files, i just open up the folder where my GoPro footage is (and even the CLOG3 from my Canons'),

Hi thanks for the reply. I'm at work and only got my laptop so can't check with Mediainfo. It is gopro footage at 5k 30, insta360 at 4k 30, drone at 4k 30 and nikon at 4k 30. I've got plenty of HDD space (100gb). I was just able to render on my

RE: What can I do to speed up 4K render?
I am only using the sharpening FX at half-strength, and I think even that may be too much. Sharpening on the source recorder (GoPro) was set to "low". Never had the need to sharpen in post a 4k recording. Keep in mind that rendering is the final

RE: Vloggers/Youtubers, what camera + capture method do you use for Vegas?
I have an Osmo Pocket 1, 2, and 3 and a couple of GoPro cameras. I just copy the files off the cards and drop them on the timeline. They all work just fine. Motion JPEG is not a good option. I'd see if the camera can capture in a different format.

RE: What can I do to speed up 4K render?
Thanks @RogerS. Is there any rendering speed advantage by applying FX at the track level versus event level? I typically copy and paste the same LUT, minor color grading, and sharpening to all the clips in my track, then view each media event and

I tried reproducing it and it rendered in a couple minutes. One unique thing about the video clips I was working on was it was created in 21 and then opened in 22. It was about 50 clips. All GoPro 4k 120fps. About have stretched to slow motion. Then

@Jeffrey-Stachowiak without the actual project where the AI is used, it's hard to know where the issues might be. I've used AI Dehaze on images with quick results. @iEmby the Hub is working right now for me in VP22. Yay! GoPro 4k 120fps video 8

Hi all. I use Vegas Pro (20.0, build 411) occasionally for simple video editing for later upload on Youtube, I am not very into the topic, but I noticed quite low GPU 4090 usage during encoding videos (mostly 4K NVENC). I would expect significantly

RE: File I/O -> Experimental HEVC decoding: Has severe problem with a clip
Experimental HEVC decoding was useful for me with GoPro 11 HEVC video in Vegas Pro 21 because it reduced the amount of stuttering on the timeline (not completely though). From various posts on the forum, the Vegas team have been developing VP's

RE: Getting Error Message when trying to render anamorphic video in Vegas
@Former user I can't leave the de-squeeze up to YouTube, as often, the client, when there is one, will be looking at the actual file, and not seeing it on YT. It's a specification standard, everything should read the PAR, no matter if it's a video
