RE: [Solved] Loading and saving pan/crop mask presets using a script
Toolbar organization, pan/crop & mask presets, track motion presets, etc: VP20 and later. To export, in Regedit go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VEGAS Creative Software\VEGAS Pro\22.0\Metrics\Application In the left corner of the Window.

RE: Rolling VP23 project back to VP22
Copying timelines from VP23 to VP22 should work normally, only Track FX/Track motion etc cannot be copied. Fx on events etc are copied. Thank you! Is it safe to have both versions installed at the same time? Yes, no problem. You should have also

RE: Track Motion Problem
Basically I added a 1920x1080 clip to a 1080x1920 project, increased it size with Track Motion, I had to increase the height to 6069 to fill the preview project size/height. (I tried working out why that number but couldn't) @Gid 1920 * (16 / 9)² =

RE: ► Unresolved Rendering vegas rotates video into strange orientation
I'm pleased that you've found the solution. Just as a suggestion in case you're not already using it, if you've got lots of video events that need to be re-oriented/re-sized in the same way, all of those events can be placed on the same track and -

RE: Track Motion Problem
@melory-f Hi, I made a long post about how the Track motion settings relate to Media/Project, size, aspect ratio etc.. but to be honest after a couple of hrs trying to work it all out the sizes in Track Motion didn't seem to corelate to anything.

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 and MOCHA VEGAS
Perhaps the question to ask now is "Two years on does the motion tracking in VP23 work well enough to not need Mocha Vegas?". Thats something I shall have to look at.

RE: Track Motion Problem
From my point of view, avoid using Track Motion to enlarge the footages. (Decreasing is acceptable.) In most cases, Pan/Crop should be used for enlarging. Another way to explain is to quote from a comment that's been made over the years: Pan/Crop

3D Motion Setup Script
i'm a but curious but is there a script that involves creating a 3D scene instantly rather than having to set all the different tracks and parent to 3d. Basically just as a way to create 3d motion scenes faster. so im guessing it would go something

RE: Motion Tracking using Brick Wall .png as Background
Back again. I tried 3Point’s suggestion first because I think I see a problem with the Parent/Child approach. (See paragraph 5 below). Just to make sure my analysis of your demo is correct, I’ll go through your approach step by step. Let me know if

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 and MOCHA VEGAS
One way is to open your project in VP23 and use Mocha in an otherwise empty VP22 just for the motion tracking. It's not so hard and saves £50 a year! For instance, you have a clip and you want to add a caption locked to a moving object. From your

@Bria Hi, yes Motion Tracking can be applied to each individual event. you can right click the event to add it.

RE: How to remove A B cross over thing
Many thanks to both. Not selected in options, so must have done it some other way when editing, I'm doing a lot of track motion, so prob caught it by accident. Lots of tracks, so I want all the horizontal space I can get. Cheers

RE: Using Track Motion with Motion Tracking PIP - problems (VP 21)
Update: I have found a decent workaround. I changed my image canvas size to 1920x1080. Its still 300 pixels in middle of image surrounded by transparency but with the overall bounds of image the same size as video, the pan/crop tool can scale and

RE: Weird font problem
I think I'd: Circle the wagons. Export the text of the credit roll. Import into Photo Shop (GIMP). Save as transparent .png and... back in Vegas Pro Animate with Pan/Crop and Track Motion.

RE: Vegas Pro v.21 Build315 rotating video and aspect ratio
I discovered the other day that for some reason my S23 Ultra recorded in the vertical 9:16 format even though the phone was being held horizontally at the time of shooting. What I did was put that event on its own track in Vegas Pro and used track

RE: Vegas Pro 23 - AI Auto Reframe is zooming with pictures?
Thanks for the detailed reply. That means the AI Reframe feature isn’t really much of a help at this point. The amount of work needed to remove or adjust everything is basically the same as just reframing the whole project manually with track

RE: Moving Face Cam
The approach I take is similar to above but I find Picture In Picture fx the most convenient. More so than Track Motion. Or pan/crop on the event. Although with a little more work, you might get higher quality with pan/crop.

RE: Event Pan/Crop for an image is not intuitive
All - I tried Picture-in-Picture at first. In one example I found that it affected my video in the background, in that when the image was showing (scaled image in Picture-in-picture) that the video was not playing. When the length of the image in

RE: VPro 23 release Date hint?
Thank you. Yes, it seems pretty cool. Those lighting effects look great, I wonder if they may improve Bump Map. Would love to have a different track motion interface although this one is fine, I just struggle with the 3d rotation. Doesn't make sense

RE: Vegas 22 Bezier Masking Crashes Vegas
@hurricane1951 I'm not sure from your description what you want to do with the mask. Do you simply want to move the mask along the text, revealing one letter at a time? Why not just keyframe the movement if there's nothing to track? Aside from that,

RE: Upside down video
Most certainly rotating in pan/crop is a good way, but if there are lots of video events that need rotation, then there's the choice of copy/pasting the pan/crop attributes to the other events or creating a track dedicated just for the upside-down

RE: Feature requests: retain fx entering Multicam Edit & many event fx
👍2nd the motion. At least for Media-fx & VideoBus-fx which currently get bypassed during multicam edit even if I apply them after making the multicam track. Makes shooting multicam with log media very difficult without the trouble of rendering
