RE: Vegas effects causes black screen and greyed out time line on V - Pro
I'll take a wild guess and suggest that your media is from a GoPro camera (the file name starts with 'GX...') and is .MP4 (HEVC) - or H.265. I get the same results with HEVC GoPro video in Vegas Pro and Vegas Effects as you have. In Vegas Effects,

RE: VP Various Recent Builds & NVIDIA RTX 3050 Ti Cards
@ALO I too also use GoPro's. I have a 5 Black, 6 Black, 7 Black (2 actually), 9 Black, 10 Black, 11 Black, 12 Black, and 13 Black. Now, I don't shoot small length clips, as I use these for my daily walks of around 3.1 Miles/80-90 minutes, and I use

RE: Vegas 21 (315) Lag when handling clips (Trimming and Moving)
What version were you using? You said you skipped 300 and 314- did you also skip 21.315? 22.93 is a refined version of 21.315 in my opinion. The old versions like 21.208 used so4compound decoder for HEVC (and benefited from Intel QSV decoding).

RE: Render speed improvements 👍👍
@3POINT Just did a test render with an Nvenc encode and created a slight mod on one of the default templates. Just lovely to see no stop start. Thanks, Changed 4 B frames to 2, CQ to 18, Gop to 50, (PAL land). Changed audio to 192k. @johnny-s

RE: Hi, I am using Osmo 4k camcorder and unable to add MP4 File (.MP4)
The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 supports the video format, MP4 (H.264/HEVC). I suspect what the specs are saying is that you have a choice of recording MP4 (AVC) or MP4 (HEVC) - this used to be the case with 4K in GoPro cameras (now its only HEVC). Maybe

RE: Vegas Pro 21 - 315 Crashing
Please double-check that all the media was recorded the same way- MediaInfo can help you confirm this. Bit depth (8 vs 10), codec (AVC vs HEVC), resolution, framerate, can all make big differences in performance. Clip length shouldn't be an

RE: Vloggers/Youtubers, what camera + capture method do you use for Vegas?
@KKS Hi. I have a sort of similar setup. I currently use a BlackMagic Decklink Mini 4K Recorder, with a Sony HDR AX-53 attached. Though, when I record, I utilize OBS with a custom setting for ProRes: It works well when I use it, though the recorded

RE: Vegas 21 (315) Lag when handling clips (Trimming and Moving)
@joshua-noesser Well, it is a GoPro, which are notorious for their excessive compression schemes. Plus, add the fact that you are also recording at 5.3K, 60p (59.940), this just increases the problem. I have used GoPro's since the Hero 3 Black Plus

Recent purchase of Action Cam What is the action camera? Also, what are that recording settings including format (e.g. AVC or HEVC) that have been set? Many modern action cams seem to use HEVC inside the MP4 wrapper these days especially for 4K From

RE: Hi, I am using Osmo 4k camcorder and unable to add MP4 File (.MP4)
H.264 works ok, it's my daughters wedding I recorded in HEVC which the software doesn't recognise. If the video continues to not work in MSP17, the video could be transcoded to H.264 (AVC) in a free transcoder such as Handbrake or Shutter Encoder

Vegas 21 (315) Lag when handling clips (Trimming and Moving)
Good Day, I have a new bug for version 315 Vegas Pro 21. These two things might be related, and I'm hoping someone has a workaround. 1.) When I try to Trim all my media, I get lag where it is jumpy when trying to trim it 2.) Sometimes, and not

Is the video media sourced from the same device (e.g. camera, phone, action cam, etc) and using the same video (e.g. .mp4 (AVC) aka H.264) as you've successfully used in VMS15 in the past? Or is the video from a newly acquired source such as new
