RE: Integrated GPU v Dedicated GPU
Personally, I always shut off the iGPU in Desktop machines with a dGPU. I don't see any benefit to running that way, personally. The benefit is easy to measure... video board and igpu working together always significantly outperform one working

RE: Pro 18 Edit - Upgrader's remorse...
@craneman You might also look into getting a memory upgrade to 32gb for your dell laptop... my Intel NUC only has only 4 cores but with 32gb ram it is quite adept editing, playing, and rendering 4k media with Vegas 18. Thank you, but I think you are

Pro 18 Edit - Upgrader's remorse...
I've used Vegas since V12. Upgraded to V15, and now to V18. I don't upgrade every release because the new features are usually not things I have a need for. Now, after a couple of weeks of use, I'm suffering upgrader's remorse, and wish maybe I had

Is this system really that bad? You can get along editing with 16GB ram- I was doing 4K with 8GB for a few years. I have the GTX 1050 (4GB) in notebook version and it edits fine. The G5600 isn't that old and includes the Intel 630 iGPU. VP 13 is

If I can give one piece of advice it is not to upgrade hardware for stability. You don't need to do that and it probably won't work based on people's posts about upgrading ram and GPUs. I'm also on a i7-7700 laptop with GTX 1050, which is powerful
