RE: Playback Acceleration For Video. How! What!
I see......I hope you guys realize that this renders the external monitor function utterly useless! Even if you are only working on the video and not the sound then this latency between the sound and picture is completely unacceptable. Dont get

RE: Re: Problems With Vegas - CPU/disk meters are there with 512MB
Yet another interesting tidbit: My system has 512MB of RAM and the meters DON'T appear on my system! Something else that amused me no end: I upgraded from Vegas Audio version 2.0a to the newer 2.0b version--and most of the problems got

RE: Problems With Vegas
James, You've got my sympathy! SiS (and S3)-based display adapters are indeed horrid little beasties. I spent five years doing tech support, supporting hardware and software for servers, workstations, laptops, and thin clients for IBM, Dell,

Re: Problems With Vegas - CPU/disk meters are there with 512MB
An interesting tidbit - when I upgraded to Vegas Audio 2 my cpu and disk meters also vanished and I asked SF who told me that story about them not being too accurate and so being removed - but guess what? When I recently upgraed from 384Mb RAm to

RE: Problems With Vegas
First of all, you won't need to purchase Vegas Pro, as an upgrade. That will actually be a down grade. Seeing that you are a new user, I can understand the confusion. Sonic Foundry's marketing team (if they have one) should be shot for this,

Problems With Vegas
Hello, everyone. My name's Gabriel and I'm a would-be Vegas user. (I own Vegas Audio and have been considering purchasing Vegas Pro at the recommendation of friends who use Vegas in their own demo and project studios.) I'm posting this because I

RE: Vegas crashes computer
I have seen the problem with some motherboard manufacturers. In my experience there is a resource share violation do to improper IRQ handling. What you need to check is the device manager. Double click on the computer at the top of the list to

RE: Mixdown of 8-channel live recording
Thanks very much Dave! Sound like exactly what I needed. I will remove all the envelopes, etc. I'll also check into this since more specifically. BTW, I really love how I can adjust the ends of the horizontal scroll to change how much of the

Mixdown of 8-channel live recording
I just finished a multi-track live recording using Vegas Audio 2.0b and would like some suggestions before I proceed to post-production. It is not that I haven’t figured out a way to do it. I have and it seems to work fine. However, I am just

RE: Vegas Audio 2.0a, Win2K and stuttering death
Win2K takes a good deal more resources than Win9x, so if you are running on the same or similar machine, that may be the root of the problem. It has been my experience that Win2K Professional performs better than Server for Vegas ... your mileage

Thanks SF - A story to tell for the bored or interested...
I've had mixed emotions about posting this for a few days, mostly because I have had about all I can take of reading rhetoric from the likes of Irvin. But I have noticed that lately SF is doing a good job of deleting his posts rather rapidly.

Ignore Victor. He didn't get enough attention as a child. You shouldn't be having this problem. I can seemlessly playback over 24 tracks (stereo) that overlap. Call tech support or let us know what your system specs and OS are... More info would

Bad Vegas, BAD Vegas
I Hope someone can give me some advice...or help. I recently upgraded...actually replaced...my Vegas Pro (1.0) with Vegas Video (2.0). I mainly did this because Vegas 2.0 has the ability to "Lock Envelopes to Events", which I think is the BEST

Midi Clock tempo - how to set?
I'm trying to get Vegas Pro to be in sync with my Korg Electribe ER-1 drum machine. I've set "MIDI Clock" ON in Vegas, and set the Electribe to Ext (to be a slave). I'm using a SoundBlaster "AudioPCI" for MIDI out (and a Delta 66 to record;
