RE: 24p (NTSC) in 25p (PAL)
To expand, if you simply speed up the footage (which you can actually do with some file formats with a simple file patcher which changes the header and tells the program to play back and the faster speed) -- if you do just this simple speed up, the

Rendering some help on a workaround
I shot my video on a sony HDRSR12E in AVCHD 1920*1080. I have edited it down to 90mins, nothing fancy mainly straights cuts and fades. I rendered to 1040*1080 M2TS with 5.1, using 8.0b. 24 hours later it completed but the sound went progressively

RE: **WARNING** to any professional users of DVD Arc!!
Well I have done both. Def more 29.9 but some 24p as well. I am not famillar with that encoder. But you got my point. Sometimes software doesn't play well together. I certainly would not imply that it was an error on your part. I have always run

RE: Tracks.Clear() - Exception
Now... if you're writing a Custom Command, remember that anything that CHANGES the project must be in an "Undo" block or you WILL get an error. Thanks a lot! This has to be the culprit. I will try it later today, and report back. Edited: I found

RE: How do I Exchange NEW for OLD Markers?
I can get this to work in a small case test. There maybe other gremlins however. Test 1: I created Proj1.veg with gen media and 3 markers. Rendered to mpeg-2 with markers and opened that in DVDA. Test 2: I opened Proj1.veg, Saved As Proj2.veg and

Delivering a HD file
I need to deliver a HD version of my film for the deliverables. For reasons I can't get into, I'm rendering from SD source material. I've set the settings to 24P 720 and was rendering with the YUV codec. 40 minutes into the render, I got an error

RE: Intercutting HDV and SD
I have mixed HDV and SD on the timeline with no problems-if rendering to DVD MPEG-2. I haven't noticed there being issues at the edit points as you have Bob, and I have been checking closely lately. Here has been my problem, as stated in another

RE: Workaround for AVCHD rendering?
Sony has acknowledged the AVCHD render crash problem and it has been escalated to the development team. So perhaps in the next release it will be fixed, or then not.... Meanwhile I've bee fighting to find any reasonable simple workaround, and now I

RE: Vegas BR-out template vs DVDA recompression
Both my test pieces had the same average bitrate (15M) and the VBR test STILL came out smaller. That is caused by an error in the encoder in reality. Perhaps error is a harsh word, an inaccuracy. The easiest way to show this is as I did above. 4 +
