RE: Tech Support
Reelnut; Good to see you over here! VF tech support doesn't charge you, and I have always been able to get an answer, whether it be by phone or Email. I think you'll find that they're a cut above the rest. If you spend some time reading the

RE: Unable to capture with VX2000
ADStech tech support solved my problem quickly with phone support. When I deleted all files for dvcam drivers and setup the problem was solved. The dvcam drivers are TI drivers and cause problems.

RE: ADVC-100
I know I must be in the minority, but I've had a lot of problems with mine which I've mentioned in earlier posts. These problems have yet to be resolved -- even after spending hours on the phone with Canopus tech support.

RE: VF 2.0c Update - Anybody had problems or Kool surprises?
Yaaaahhoooooooo! I'm free of VW and in my opinion all that angst stuff.... I found it too uncreative. Now if Dazzle (I've got the Hollywood Bridge system) got together with Sf-VF - they could rule the budget-end NLE world. See VinceG's report on

RE: Reinstalling VV3?
The problem is that you don't really know what will have to be reinstalled. When I installed VV3 the first time it refused to accept my online registration, telling me that I was using a wrong UserID(?) number. After a few retries I got to the

RE: To SonicEPM re: tech support
Good morning, My suggestion would be to call your telephone company and ask if there is a 900 number block on your line in particular. If so, you can ask to have that block removed. 900 numbers are blocked from pay phones (obviously), and also

RE: Capture Freezing
When you are in the device manager do you see OHCI compliant IEEE1394 host controller listed there? Are you capturing video to the same hard drive that you have the operating system on or is it on an independent drive? If you can, be sure to

RE: Suggestion: Track Motion
Actually I read the VV2 manual cover to cover, went through the tutorials that came with VV2, and the ones in the separate Advance tutorial disc. I've read lots of the new manual, but it is not as convenient to read as the printed VV2 version.

RE: Suggestion: Track Motion
I have found that all of the VV3 features work fine if you read the f**king manual! Also, a quick phone call to SF telephone support will help open your eyes...and allow you to see how frigging EASY it really is to do. Don't try to over-complicate

RE: inability to burn Multimedia CDs
Yeah, I'd get ahold of them, but I know those guys are swamped. I've got a friend who works there and their department has been hit pretty hard by the layoffs. Most of them have about 100 tech support emails a piece/day. Ouch. Not to mention a

Truth stranger than fiction - Resolution? of my registration nightmare
This (I hope) is the last post on my long running battle to get valid activation codes. Yesterday, I commented on the "no support" from tech support. Well, got an email offering a refund. Nice, but I don't want a refund, I just want activations

Hardly. Problem with version 1.0. Same problem with patch for version 1.0. That's original CD. Upgraded to version 2.0, that CD fails registration also. Not just a single machine. Failure on three different PC's. Clearly there is something

Hey Scott! SonicFoundry doesn't guarantee any support in the user forums. This is just a place for us users to swap horror stories and solutions we've found, although occasionally some of the Sonic techs will make some comments too. If you need

Evils of clumsy registration and activation schemes.
Why are software companies so damn stupid? In some half-ass scheme to try to prevent piriated software they manage to piss-off and chase away paying customers. I will not buy any future Sonic Foundry software because it frankly isn't worth the
