RE: Delivering HD Video
yes i currently stream from a normal web host using JW and it is not that bad. the other supposed advantage to S3 is CDN so (supposedly) users around the world have better playback. regarding rtmp, i have been talking with JW and they said: -- if

RE: Begging for aviplug.dll from 9.0c 32-bit. Anyone?
Thank you very much. Got it now :) Initial findings are very good. After further testing I will post in the relevant threads. It would be great if this file (and the 64-bit equivalent) could somehow be hosted somewhere with the approval of SCS,

RE: FRAPS Users - "Stutter" Removal from Vid-Captures?
Interesting problem. Here's my approach: In FRAPS, ensure you have the latest version 3.4.6, turn off sound, Uncheck locki framerate whiloe recording. Frame rate 30fps Full Size In Vegas, ensure project settings match video clip exactly

RE: FRAPS Users - "Stutter" Removal from Vid-Captures?
I don't know much (anything) about FRAPS, but if you load your video into Vegas and step thru it one frame at at time, blur is observable in alternate frames: That would suggest a mismatch in framerates between the FRAPS source and the Vegas

Step 1: Where is the problem coming from. When you play the animation using WW without FRAPS loaded how does it look? Bob.

FRAPS Users - "Stutter" Removal from Vid-Captures?
What this posting comes down to really is really a do-I-need-to-get-a-new-video-card? one. The opening post back in July http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=769723here[/link] gives you the full specs of

RE: Fraps
Fraps uses the AVI container, but the codec is their own. You need to have Fraps installed on your computer as well, I can't recall if you can get just the codec. The program itself is unobtrusive, and is only loaded when used. Download Fraps,

VMS 8.0 crash on import
I'm pretty exhausted after attempting to find a fix for this for a few days, but I'll try to explain the problem as well as possible. So basically I've been using the same install of VMS 8.0 platinum since I bought it a few years ago, and have

rendering problems
Okay, so all I have to say is--I have a million problems rendering my video. I spent the better part of a day trying to render a video I edited and made earlier and it just wouldn't work out. Either the sound was skipping or there were instances

RE: MAJOR Problem: 99% EVERYTHING is "Media Offline"
well, not sure what else to suggest - i NEVER use anything but plain vanilla codecs on my tl - if i have anything esoteric (fraps, or something from a junk handycam) i simply convert to mxf. i know that vegas can handle multiple formats, frame

A week or so later... WELL, THINGS ARE... still all screwed up. Situation is the same overall as described in attempts to fix them (Media Offline) for files that ARE Project Media says they are -- even when manually replaced, still nothing. Be it

RE: MAJOR Problem: 99% EVERYTHING is "Media Offline"
OK, looks like it definitely was/is a codecs problem. The re-install of Fraps made those files replaceable (I only did that manually by selecting and replacing in Project Media) but still have to do the above suggested move to so as not have to

If you rendered out of FRAPS, reinstall FRAPS. I'm sure it was a codec it came with.

RE: Hit & Miss On Render Quality
Well, I think I may have found the reason for the short-duration muddy, shimmerring, and pixelated scenes. Or, I may have just gotten lucky on my latest render. I went back and reviewed all the FRAPs clips on my VMS timeline and found that several

RE: Hit & Miss On Render Quality
Chienworks - The FRAPs clips were originally recorded from my computer using a screen resolution of 1600x1200 at 29.97 fps. This resolution was not an option on the VMS timeline - the closest matching resolution was 1600x1080 at 29,97 fps, so that

RE: Hit & Miss On Render Quality
What is the resolution of the FRAPs files? What's the resolution of the output file? If there's a lot of resizing going on this can cause odd results. I assume the interpolated frames you refer to result from the .avi file having the slower frame

RE: Hit & Miss On Render Quality
No improvement with the above render settings. In fact, it may have been worse this time. Since it only happens to the FRAPs avi files that are on the timeline, it may be due to some issue with FRAPs. The FRAPs avi files load instantaneously on
