Excalibur can place markers or regions around 10 minute intervals with a nice GUI controlling the operation. However, it's a fairly easy process. Here's one that will do 1 minute intervals. You just have to manually change the timecode for 10 minute intervals and the "doRegions" variable to change to regions instead of markers.

Thanks very much jetdv, that will certenly be useful

More specifically I'm tring to speed up putting CD track markers at the 10min interval points for educational seminars.

I'm not familier with Excaliber.

Excalibur is an excellent collection of script functions that Edward has created. I have one called Ultimate S that also a collection of various script functions. Both are add-on products for Vegas that you can purchase separately and will increase your productivity. If you are interested in writing scripts, you’ve come to the right place. The folks that hang out here can definitely help you.

If you are interested in creating a GUI for your scripts so you can input things like durations, it would be a lot easier if you learn C# and use a IDE tool like Microsoft Visual Studio C# .NET or the free SharpDevelop. Unfortunately, there are no tools for JScript GUI development.
