I am considering upgrading from version 12 to 13, with a large purpose to utilize Nectar Elements to better sweeten the dialogue in some of my projects. Who has used the product for such a purpose. Please share any comments.
I've been using the version of Nectar Elements that comes with various versions of Vegas for some time now and do like and use a few of the presets for giving my voice overs that extra "punch". You can do it with the audio tools in Vegas but this is a one-click operation and I like that :)
I use the full version of Nectar 2.0 on almost all of my projects where solo voice (spoken and sung) is a major component. Off the truck, the presets are great and pretty heavy-handed, but they're meant to be tweaked to taste. Nectar easily adds sparkle and shine to a voice to sit well in a mix. I've used it for VO's to excellent effect.
i have been using it for a few versions now as i use a bit of voiceover in arts supplements for our college bound seniors, who can have pretty annoying voices on a good day. once you have their voices sweetened up, you can set presets that will work for many similar sounding voices. Good for sound FX voices as well. If you have done any audio work at all, this would be an even better tool as you would have the understanding of approach that i don't have...however that said, i have been pretty successful with it in my own work.
