1394 net adapter - am I out of line here?

I got this problem in my hardware. The device manager tells me he needs a driver for it. So far, the only thing in my computer that works with 1394 is my capture card that I use with VV. Nothing else cos I have no firewire PCI installed.

I used the search to find topics about it but can't seem to find any. Does anybody know how to find a driver for it? Can I have problems with Vegas if I leave it that way and just disable it? I am using WinXP and a simple Accton network card.

... or is it simply something that has nothing to do with video capture... ?

If you have a 1394 firewire port on your PC, then this will show up. You can right click on it and disable it if you'd like, and it will not affect video capture. The 1394 net adapter is for setting up a connection/network to another PC using a firewire cable. I have attempted to set up such a network using a program called "Firenet", and found it to be more trouble than it's worth, although I believe I almost got it working between 2 Win XP PC's.
My 1394 Net adapter shows that the driver is supplied from Microsoft. If you want this driver, you can try using the "update driver" - while connected to the internet - and have it check the web.......your XP cd, or try the Windows update page. I wouldn't worry about it though.

What capture card is this?

Thanks Salad

I tried the update from Mykro Suff a long time ago and they don't have the driver for that 1394 net adapter.

My capture card is a Duravision DV "Pro".
