1394 port in Audigy sound card OK?

After just installing Vegas 4.0c I can't get the capture function to recognize that either my DV camera or Sony DSR-11 tape deck is connected via the 1394 port that's on the front of my Creative Labs Audigy sound card. At the moment this is the only 1394 port on my computer. Can anyone tell me if the Audigy 1394 port has a problem or should work ok? Thanks.

Funny thing I suddenly had the same problem but with the Platinum. I had been able to capture using the firewire on the 5.25 box then it stoppd working. Luckily there is also a firewire on the actual PCI card which still worked. I have since re-instlled W2K and all apps but haven't had chance to check the front port again. I'll let you knwo when I do.

I've got an Audigy 2 and the firewire port works perfectly with Vegas. I know that's not exactly what you're asking, but I don't imagine there's much difference between the firewire ports on these two cards...

I use the Audigy firewire port with Vegas without any problems capture wise and
monitor wise.
