16:9 dvd does not fill the whole TV screen

Just started using vegas 12 + DVD Architect. Whatever I use to burn DVD it is OK on my computer player, but in TV the picture does not fill up the whole screen and is surrounded with black frame, while keeping 16:9 ratio.
I tried NTSC DV Widescreen (720 x 480) template (pixel aspect ratio 1.2121) and rendered as mpeg-2 (program stream NTSC Widescreen video) or Sony AVC/MVC - intenet 1920x1080
Please help!

Have you tried changing the zoom settings of your TV and/or disc player?

Of home-burned DVDs do not trigger the disc player to play widescreen.

The problem may lie in your project/render settings in Vegas, or in the player or TV settings as Steve mentioned.

If you would care to post your media properties, project properties, and render properties, someone here may have time to investigate further.

You also need to set up the DVD Architect project for 16:9. The factory default is 4:3.
