16:9 thumbnail frames

Is there a way to streatch the thumbnail frames? I'm adding 16:9 content and no matter what frame I choose, even though it looks like it is 16:9 in the frame list, when I add it to the thumbnail, it only shows as 4:3 and crops the thumbnail to its size. If I remove the frame, the thumbnail returns to 16:9.

Is there a way to make the frame match the AR of the thumbnail?

Many of the frames aren't suitable for widescreen use, since they're more tailored towards 4:3.

However, you have a few options:

1) Turn off Maintain Aspect Ratio on the Transform Bar for the frame. This affects the frame and inside video thumbnail, so it may not produce the exact result you're looking for.

2) Create your own wide screen button frames (via themes)

3) Create your own frame, and render the frame on the video (in Vegas) and set that as the thumbnail. (and turn off Enable Frame)

Hope that helps

Thanks. That's kind of what I figures. What threw me was the fact that many of the frames "looked" like they were 16:9 in the drop down window but when I used them, they were clearly 4:3.

Thanks again,
