16 bit drum samples/24 bit project?

I just purchased Drumagog and Studio Kat Purrrfect Drums to breathe some life back into my tired old project studio. I've been using my decade old Alesis SR-16 and plan on using Drumagog to paste more variety into my tunes. However, I now realize (yeah, a bit late, dumb*ss) that the Purrrfect drums samples are 16 bit and I record almost exclusively in 24 bit.

Just wondering what others do in this circumstance. Change the 16 bit files to 24 bit? Will 16 bit files run in a 24 bit project?? Appreciate any help...

Not a problem - your projects are 24 bit but you can use files of any resolution within the project. I use combinations of 24 and 16 bit files regularly. The 16 bit drum samples should sound fine in your 24 bit projects - especially if they were well recorded. Any processing you do will be at 24 bit. Anyway, just experiment and see if you like the results. ;-)

Thanks, drbam - I figured that it would work, just didn't know if there would be any additional steps. Anybody here tryout the purrrfect drums and care to opine?
