16 colours ?

Has Vegas (or a plugin) the possibility to change the colour-space to i.e. only 16 colours?
I think this will improve the change of a video to a "cartoon look" ?

Use the color curves effect and create a "staircase" looking curve. Keep the angles hard and the lines straight horizontal and vertical. You can create as many or as few steps as you wish and adjust them as necessary to alter the look.

In general, this effect is called posterization.

Did not believe my own eyes.
Only 6 colours give a convincing "cartoon look".
