16 x 9 nubie

I filmed a test movie in 16x9 format, and resed down some pics to 720x480 with the black bars included so that I can do a montage in Vegas. It looks and plays back in Vegas correctly as DV NTSC, but when I render, JPGS get stretched out, whats the deal?

I cant figure out what I am doing wrong. I tried screen caps in Vagas to Photoshop and everything lines up. Why is Vegas stretching out my JPGS but not the video?

When you render both the preferences and the Pan/Crop must be set to the 16 x 9 setting (match aspect for the stills) especailly if your adding FX's and if you don't add the 16 x 9 the black bars will change color if you add an FX color change, or brightness or contrast. Just take a small piece of the 16 x 9 film and a still in one short clip with different settings and render it out and burn it to see what works.

But the Pan Crop is the same on both the DV and the JPGS, they look consistant untill I render and only the JPGS get stretched but the DV stays the same. Any ideas?
