1920x1080 odd crop on render.

My project is 1920x1080, and when I render using the pre-DVDA MPEG 720x480 for DVDA Widescreen because I'm making a DVD, my pictures are not being stretched to the left and right, so you can see the underneath video on the sides of the pictures. The pictures are fine on play back, but on the render, the crop happens. These are images from my D800, if that helps.

I'm using Sony Vegas 13. And I'm using 1920x1080 because I do web videos from the same timeline, so I want those 1920x1080.

Thanks in advance.

In this case, you will set your project to match your output.
DVD aspect is anamorphic; HD is not.

Ok, I found a work around. If I unclick on each image 'maintain aspect ratio', then the image 'stretches' to fill the frame on render. I give credit to the creative cow forum, someone else had this same issue. Odd indeed.

What are the pixel dimensions of your pictures? If you're rendering for DVD widescreen they should be 873x480, not 720x480.
