2.0 serial number not working

I bought 1.0 a while back at Best Buy, and I just downloaded 2.0a, but my original serial number does not work with 2.0a. Do I have to purchase 2.0, or can I get a serial number from them somehow?? I'll be damned if I'm buying it again!!

Version 2 is a new Video Factory program. You can purchase an upgrade from SonicFoundry.

2.0a is a patch for version 2 only, and is not the whole program.

Version 2 adds better capturing and output as well as CD burning support.
