You have what is known as a Two Camera shoot.

Put one clip on one track and one on a track below it.

Try to sync up the audio.

Then cut the top track anytime you want the bottom one to show through. Also are you using Vegas or Vegas Movie Studio?

VASST has a free plugin to automate editing two-camera shoots.
