I have to convert a 2 hour vhs tape to DVD.
After capture, the file is 5.6 GB, too much for mpeg2 on 1 DVD. Previous posts talked about using the Cineform .avi codec to render to .avi, then re-render to mpeg2 in DVDA "to fit"
As I have VMS Platinum 8.0, Cineform is not available, what about using the Video for Windows .avi codec?
What loss of quality am looking at in either case?
Apart from that my option is to burn two disks, but I don't think the client will "buy" it.
