2 pass encoding

I was wondering if you guys knew if sony/vegas software was capable of 2 pass VBR MPEG2 encoding. I find it to be quite beautiful, but my dvd authoring program is not very stable when it comes time to burn the dvd image.

I believe that you need the "full" Vegas version to do the 2 pass variable bit rate encoding.

Vegas Movie Studio won't do this, but of course you could use a third party encoder to do the encoding and use DVD Arch Studio to build the DVDs.

Others have reported problems using DVD Architect Studio to do their DVD burning. I happen to use DVD Shrink (to turn the prepared files into a .iso file) and DVD Decrypter (to do the actual burning) since these work well on my PC and with my DVD burner. They are both freeware programs.
