2 quick questions

I am working on the family video for Christmas and have two things annoying me that I have wondered about for eons, but never asked.

1-why is it that sometimes when I have the timeline playing and click the cursor on a new area of the timeline the play skips to where I click, but others it just keeps playing without moving to where I click?

2-When you insert a new marker they are chronoligically numbered. If I randomly place them in the project, then import the rendered file to DVDA will the chapter markers show up in the order they occur on the timeline or in the order they were placed (ie-# on the marker itself)?

1) you have to click in the "header/marker" area of the timeline to get it to start playing from a new point. If you click beneath the area (say on an event) the "cursor" will move to that point but it will continue playing in the old position.

2) The chapter points will always be in the order of their appearance on the timeline. No need to worry there.

If you feel you would like to tidy up your markers list you can export them to a file. Delete the markers and re-import them.

procedure below (enjoy!)

You do this by switching to the edit details view - swicth to markers - select them all - copy to the clipboard - paste into a notepad file - delete the originals from the vegas timeline - paste the markers back into the edit details window.

OR - the Ultimate S plugin does that all for you (er.. I think).

Excalibur 3 will renumber your markers into sequential order.
