"24" style title sequence

Can anyone tell me how to make a title sequence like the opening sequence from the TV show 24. I'm not talking about the 4-way split screen (although I would like to know that too). I am interested in the countdown clock sequence. Please keep in simple for a simple-minded person.

I am using VMS Platinum-7.0

I don't think it is so simple. You may want to try for a simpler composite title to sget your feet wet. Vaast.com has some great tutorials on titles geared for VMS thanks to "Spot"

I saw an example on another forum that looked really great. It was being used as a lead-in for a very basic home vacation movie. Someone out there must have a trick that they could share. I may still not understand it or be able to reproduce it now, but I could at least file it away for later use.
