24p DVDs play smaller than 60i?

I have previewing some DVD projects (made in DVD Architect) on my Dell 2405 using Windows Media Player in full screen mode. Some projects are widescreen NTSC 60i and some are NTSC widescreen 24p. All projects were rendered with Main Concepts.

In WMP the 60i versions fill the screen entirely but the 24p ones only about 80%, which seems to imply to me that the resolution of the 24p versions are less than the 60i. Surely they should be the same. What is happening here?

Spatial rez should be identical. Only thing that should be apparently different is file size and motion blur if your source was 60i.
Any chance you're using different widescreen templates?
Any chance WMP sees 24p diff than 60i? (I don't use WMP much)

Did you crop the footage? Or is it all native 16:9 with no cropping?

I ask because if you don't watch your render settings, you can end up creating a letterboxed 4:3 image, which, when rendered as widescreen, will then take on a windowbox -- the image in the middle with black all around. Viewing in WMP at full screen, it would appear that the image is only 75-80% as large as it would be if the widescreen render had been done correctly.

Answer seems to be the way WMP11 sees the 24p file. Playing in InterActual shows full-screen fine. Thanks for your responses.
