In the Project Properties menue there are a LOT of different settings conserning Frame Rate - my final format will be a DVD. In order to really see the difference you have to burn it all the way out and view it on a DVD player so that's why I'm wondering about the various results. I am curious about the 24,000 (film) for starters. In what way would that be diffrent than say 25,000 PAL (I'm in Pal Land) Or 15,000 multimedia and what is 50,000 Double PAL usefull for?

Also: in what degree do these settings over-ride or compliment the settings in "Render as.."?

Thanks a bunch, Garo

24Film won't be much different than 25p, and won't buy you anything except some weird frame cadence. 23.976 IVTC is what you should be using if you go this route. However, the human eye is incapable of discerning 25p vs 24p. If you're going to a film-out, then you can use 23.976 as well, but you're better off starting with your 50i and allowing the film transfer house to manage the reduction in speed.
The differences you're asking about are all framerates. Not 15000, but 15 fps. As far as double PAL, I've never used it, but assume it's useful for animations similar to double NTSC.
