Can you elaborate on what you are doing? YOu have 30p and want 24p? or you have 24p and want it to have 3:2?

Footage with 3:2 applied (i.e. stuff from 24p that has had 3:2 applied) does show fieldds in 2 out of every 5 frames. This is how 3:2 works.

If you are seeing weird field issue everywhere try two things first:

A) Set it to Disable resampling. Vegas wants to add more field splits than a traditional 3:2 pulldown effect when resampling is on force or smart. (I see this when putting 24fps footage into 29.97 comps).

B) Make certain you are not using any footage tagged in the file as 30fps in a 29.97fps timeline. This causes the footage to slip a field at around 15 seconds, and look terrible thereafter. YOu can fix this by setting the PLAYBACK rate of the event to 0.999 (NOT the undersample rate, the playback rate). This will make the 30fps clip run at 29.97 and prevent the fiefld slip.

Hope this helps.

Do a Search for the white paper "24p and the Panasonic AG-DVX100 and AJ-SDX900 camcorder support in Vegas 4 ansd DVDA-1" it really talks more about 24p in Vegas. I sure all the settings are good in Vegas 5a too.

have you tried just a 3:2 pulldown? 2:3 3:2 is for 24p Advanced... cadence is just a bit different from regular 24p.
