uncompressed won't play back smoothly on anything at all....
If it's a DV file, which isn't uncompressed, then you should be using a 24p project.
Film look is a lot more than just 24p. That's only a small part of the puzzle.
You mean you have a 60i file that you are rendering out to a 24p file? Then doing what? Creating a new project in Vegas and importing the 24p file? This is what you should be doing.
Please describe your workflow more completely, I'll try to assist.

So it is acceptable to bring in at a different frame rate and export at 24 ? I shoot with an XL1 in Frame Movie Mode, which is 29.99 and love the look, but if bringing it in and exporting at 24 will increase the " Film Look " I'm all for it. I think by and large I get pretty close to the look I want but have wondered if this would get me even closer.
