24p to DV-AVI 60i

Hey guys,
long time no post-been fortunate to have an insanely busy summer. got a question that I'm sure has been answered, but I'm still a little confused after reading posts.

I have a 24p project that I would like to deliver in 60i using the DV presets in AVI. Once its delivered, pulldown will never have to be removed-it will all be 60i afterwareds.

1. When I use the 2-3 pulldown preset, does it deliver a 60i video that just has flags for removal? I think Vegas automatically removes the pulldown when you bring it back (to get 24p) but will other programs like FCP leave it at 60i?

2. If I use the regular preset (no pulldown) than when it renders it will either blend or interpolate right? Is there a way to make it add pulldown just not flag the fields for removal later?

thanks

Just did some testing and think I figured it out. I made a small 24p frame file with 4 frames, each file a different color.

If you render that DV-AVI with no pulldown and disable resample, it doesn't blend or interpolate, just seems to add pulldown and create a 60i file.

Because there needs to be an extra "frame" it seems like the third one is doubled up. I don't see anyway to look at each individual field, but this seems like the right way to go.

Sounds good or did I miss something?
