24p Uncompressed render vs. DV

I have a 24 project I am rendering. I noticed that when I rendered it out to uncompressed, then rerendered it to DV w/ pulldown, it came out better than straight to DV (w/ pulldown). Any reason for this, or are my settings off somehow?

What looks better?

Is your final goal to be seen on a TV or a computer?

My final goal is for a tv. It's just confusing to me how a re-render can look better than a straight pulldown to dv.
