3.3 GB project is too large for 4.7 GB media?

Hi,

I tried to use DVDA to burn a DVD prepared using another software package. The prepared files totalled ~3.3 GB and DVDA kept saying that the "project is too large" for the media - which was a 4.7 GB DVD-R. I've since been able to burn the disc using Veritas RecordNow DX.

Is this a problem with DVDA? Or does DVDA only like to burn projects it has created itself?

Regards,
Michael

There a setting under Options / Preferences / Burning for space on media - sometimes defaults to 3.9 - make sure this reads 4.7.

Thanks for the tip.

The only options are 3.95 or 4.7 GB which still doesn't explain why DVD-A said that 3.3 GB was too large. Any my other question: does DVD-A only like to burn projects that it has created? Or can it burn any prepared DVD folder with video and audio subdirectories?

Thanks,
Michael
