32 bit XP Pro to 64 bit Win7

I don't know if anyone else out there is in my position - semi-hunched over a keyboard flailing at the keys :o)

My question:

I bought the 32 bit version of Vegas Pro 9 when I was running XP Pro on my edit PC. I have just bought Win7 and am considering installing the 64 bit version of this O/S.

Does anyone know if I will have to pay extra for a serial number for the 64 bit version of Vegas Pro, or will the serial number from my 32 bit version work?

No expense required. The SN for VP9 32 bit is the same as for the 64 bit edition. You can even have both installed and running at the same time.
