VV with SF can do that.

Yeah, in fact if you edit and save any of your sound files on the timeline using any third party editor, when you ALT-TAB back to Vegas they will instantly update. It's just as easy to send a file to your preferred editor too: just configure your preferences, highlight a sound event on your timelime, and hit CTRL-E.

Thats good to hear.
How about with video or stills.

I've been using Photoshop .PSD files as stills. If you make a change to the original Photoshop file, it automatically changes in VV no prob.

Coolness, so you launch edit from the timeline or the media pool or? to edit in PS

In the Media Pool, you can right-click the file & pick "Explore Containing Folder", then double-click the file to open.

Or, just open the file from Windows Explorer. Once you re-save the file, it will update automatically in Vegas.
