360 footage

I received 360 files to edit from an insta360 camera - the files are .insp files. I am trying to understand how I can work with those in Vegas pro (if possible) - so far, all I tried is changing the file name into .mp4 so I can at least import them into Vegas.. That worked but now I'm stuck with a fish-eye type image... please help me !

If you are seeing a pair of fisheye views then you may be able to use the Dual Fisheye Stitching fx to convert them to an equirectangular projection.

Better would be to see if the insta360 studio software can do this with the file you have.

There are always alignment errors in multi-lens cameras and manufacturers these days have ways to calibrate and correct these errors, either by additional files in addition to the video itself, or inclusion of metadata, or ?

You can stitch them yourself using the fx mentioned above, or the FFMPEG v360 filter, but then you have to tweak the alignment to minimize stitching errors.
