3D Rendering Deprecated?

I was considering moving to Vegas after Cyberlink PowerDirector. Initially, I thought all was ok, as my Vegas V23 trial cleanly imported my 3D Sony MTS and separated the left and right eye video and the stereo sound into separate tracks. After an hour of trying to export a side-by-side 3D file, I found the unhappy user comments on this forum bemoaning the unannounced deprecation of this feature in Vegas Pro 23.0. Not a good move, and I won't be paying for the full version. Disappointing!!

Yes, I think some of the disappointment could have been averted if they had documented somewhere the removals that came with 23, but 3 months later that still has yet to happen unfortunately so people are continuing to experience this.

Smart idea doing a trial run first. Not everyone thinks to do that, but also users should be able to trust that they’ll be informed if a feature they use was removed. The same thing happened in this release with Mocha VEGAS and QuickTime encoding being squashed under the radar.

@Alastair VP22 is the last version to include 3D rendering. If you want to purchase it, there's a special offer available on the Humble Bundle recently, which only costs US$45: https://www.humblebundle.com/software/cinematic-magic-with-vegas-pro-22-and-sound-forge-pro-17-software
