hi all
i currently switch from adobe premiere to vv3, i just want to know if i can use the panasonic or other mpeg encoders in vv3, bcoz i do some testing and find out the mpeg-1 plugin came with vegas is worse than the one i use in premiere. i use panasonic mpeg-1 encorder, tmpge and ligos compare to vv3 mpeg-1 and they r better.

Happen to notice your posting.
I'm also an ex-Adobe user, currently using VV3.
On the the plugin that you mentioned, I would like to share a few words.

VV2 uses the Ligos MPEG encoder while VV3 uses the MainConcept encoder(still dun quite know how to use it).

Both the encoder used by VV are very much better than the ones that is in Premiere. One thing I can't stand is that the Panasonic encoder always cut the hue/colour of the MPEG1 it produces; making the final video looks pale.

Can be quite frustrating when the end product look like 'ghost'.

And that was one of the reasons that make me quit Adobe Premiere.

So much for what I have to say.

Bye
