For me, bug fixes most certainly fall into the catagory of "critical" - at least in terms of the audio side of Vegas. Because of the bug reports on this forum, I didn't even bother installing Vegas 4 until the latest update which I'm sure saved me a lot of frustration as a result. ;-)
