4-channel audio support

I know this has been covered before, but I wanted to draw Sonic's attention to the fact that now Matrox Video Tools will support grabbing 4-channels of audio all at the same time. This makes them and Canopus the only game in town(?) for this feature. It would be really nice if SonicFoundry would add this feature.

Personally, I'd settle for the option to capture the second stereo audio track by itself (i.e. choose stereo 1 or stereo 2)! But it needs to be fully selectable under Batch Capture. The ability to capture all 4 at once would also be an acceptable alternative.

Hi ya jetdv,

I read your previous thread on this. I agree that being able to choose either (but not both) would be acceptable since other products seem to do that. Looks like I might be plunking down $33 for Scenalyzer Live...
From the previous discussion, it seems that OHCI cards don't support 4-channel audio.

I imagine that is probably the reason. All of the software that I have seen that can capture all 4 channels at once capture the second stereo track into a separate wav file and, I believe, also uses the sound card instead of the firewire channel. However, Cinestream and Scenalyzer can both easily capture ONLY the second channel over firewire so I believe this is a very feasible request.
