4 gig size limit....

here is my problem... i am ok with dvd-a but not great..... vegas has the 4gig size limit and i want to have a feature on the dvd that is just play. i just got done searching the forums and came to the conclusion that u have to combine it as one video and then chpater it out.... but how do i combine a 50 min video???? the video i want is 50 min long and 10 gigs, so that is 3 different files. how can i make it to where i can combine all three as one file? thanks

Can you render it as an mpeg in Vegas first? Then it should be under the 4 gig limit (I assume you're using win98 or something?) and you should be able to import it into DVDA as one file.

Vegas does not have a 4GB limit. That would be your FAT32 formatted hard drive. If you're using Win 2000 or Win XP, convert your hard drives to NTFS and that will fix your 4GB problem. If you have 98 or ME, then you need to upgrade your OS.

jordonringel, your 50-min 10gig movie is probably an AVI.
handling a 10gig file is very unpractical anyway. therefore, changing to ntfs will not make the process easy to you.
Use vegas to render mpeg-2 instead, and you should end up with something like 3.5 gig.
After all, if present DVD's don't take more than 4.7 gig, any file bigger that 4 gig won't be able to fit in anyway.
