The limit could be in the OS.
What version of Windows are you running on?
What is the format of the partition?

On FAT16, the max file size is 2GB.

It seems that Vegas can only render a w64 with this length of wav file. I have plenty of space. "You have exceeded the maximum for this type of format."

The maximum size for a WAV file (under any OS) is 2GB. W64 files can be several terabytes. 2GB of CD quality audio is about 202 minutes. At 48KHz it's only 186 minutes.

If you want to stick with WAV you'll probably have to render it parts. Select the first half (or find some convenient dividing point), render that to the first WAV file, then select the rest and render that to the second WAV file.
