You've selected the "envelope edit tool". You need the "normal edit tool" instead. In the toolbar click the button that looks like a blue audio waveform with a big black i-bar on it. You'll see the "four boxes" button just to the right of it and that's what's currently selected. You can also press Ctrl-D to switch back to normal edit mode.
