Your biggest problem will be getting 422 control. Miranda DV bridge and high end Canopus A/D converters can convert from firewire to 422 control. Alternatively the new Sony J30 bypasses the need for 422 control.
At the same time unless you've got an aweful lot of material I don't see that much use for batch capture.
