48k recording

I can't seem to record at 48k. I'm using a PIII-450,
128megs ram, MOTU 2408 interface. I was going to transfer
some tracks from my DA88 (recorded at 48k) digital into
Vagas but it kept swithing the sample rate of the 2408 back
to 41k when I would enable the record on the Vagas. I also
tried to go analog 48k with the same result. I can do the
above in Sound Forge and Cakewalk. Is 48K recording not
available in the beta? Thank you for a very long awaited
product. mcm

You should be able to record at any rate/bitdepth the hardware supports.

Is the project setup as a 48k Project? We record at the project settings. If your project is set for 48k, how do you determine that the MOTU is getting reset to 44.1? Is the recording bad?

Thanks
Peter
