5.1 out of vegas and to the DVD

Hey all,

I finaly figured out how to get 5.1 chanel into Vegas (as 5 mono chanels), now to get it out and to DVDA and onto my NTSC DVD.

Any ideas, tips, tricks?

Does mpeg-2 support 5.1?
If not, what do I have to do to get 5.1 on my DVD?

I assume you have your 5 mono channels on the Vegas time line? If so just render your audio as AC3. AC3 is one of the "render as" choices. You can't render AC3 (DD 5.1) as part of MPEG2 render. The AC3 audio has to be rendered seperately from the MPEG2. You can render other audio choices as part of a MPEG2, but not AC3. Good Luck!
